At PDG we love to hear your personal stories and submissions. Recently, we received the following inspiring story of one woman’s care and support for lonely hospital patients:

I battle with mental illness, and I was hospitalized 11 months ago. The hospital took great care of me. But what really struck me was that not a lot of the patients had visitors, which made me feel a lot about that.  – Jennifer

During this holiday season, Jennifer, her coworker, and some friends decided to raise funds to provide gifts for the adult patients at the hospital. They delivered the gifts on Christmas day, playing games and talking with the patients to encourage them! Jennifer said, “It is a great way for us to show that someone does care about them.”
