Imagine not being able to enjoy your favorite holiday, Christmas.  When all the other children were getting pictures with Santa at the mall, Kerry Magro could not enjoy that experience because of his sensory challenges – all the lights, the crowds, the loud noises being overwhelming to his senses. Kerry was diagnosed with a form of autism as a young child. With loving support from family, friends and therapy, Kerry has since overcome many of his challenges and is now a well-known public speaker, author, and CEO/founder of the nonprofit KFM Making a Difference.  Through this nonprofit, he has started a tradition for the past three years, dressing up as Santa and providing a sensory friendly experience for children with special needs.

Autism can’t define me… I define autism!

Now 29 year-old Kerry has presented at Ted X twice and he has spoken at over 700 venues about disability over the last seven years.  His nonprofit helps find housing for people with disabilities and also provides scholarships for students with autism.
