Vending Machine Provides Free Essentials For the Homeless

A British nonprofit called Action Hunger has created a vending machine that stocks essential items like fruit, energy bars, socks, and toothbrushes. Someone who is homeless is provided with an access card, upon request, that allows them to use the vending machine for free 24/7.

Students Give Teacher the Gift to See Colors for the First Time

Beau Scott is a teacher who happens to be color blind. His students decided to raise money to buy him Quidditch goggles, also known as the color-seeing glasses. They surprised him with a Harry Potter themed “magic trick” and gave him the glasses. Watch this touching moment captured on video here.

Detroit Woman Gives Out Handmade Mittens

Erin Cummings started the nonprofit, Mittens for Detroit, after seeing that people in her community needed mittens in the winter. The nonprofit has given over 200,000 handmade mittens to those in need.

600 Dads Show Up in Response to School Ad Needing Mentors and Dads for Kids

A middle school in a low-income part of Texas includes many students who are without a father figure. The school put on an event called Breakfast with Dads to provide mentorship for kids. They advertised a need for at least 50 men to come to the event so they could give some mentorship and support to the young students. 600 showed up! Read the incredible story here.
