Police Officer Makes Christmas Wish Come True For Teen Boy with Autism

A Police officer in Garland, Texas is using his time off as an opportunity to give back this Christmas. After learning about 15-year-old, Johnny Morin’s dream was to become a police officer, he figured out how to make that happen. The officer put a badge on Johnny allowing him to ride in his cruiser and blare the horn and sirens. Read the full story here.

Five Year-Old Raises Money for ‘People Who Lost Their Daddies’ in Wildfires

5 year-old Faye Segraves is the daughter of a firefighter in Southern California. She decided to raise money after learning of the death of Escondido firefighter, Cory Iverson. Iverson, a husband and father, died earlier this month while battling the fire that has consumed more than 200,000 acres.
Faye started with her own money to donate to a MobileCause fundraising page which has raised more than $10,000.

Charlotte Charity Provides Thousands of Bikes to Kids On Christmas

Approximately 2,000 children will receive a new bike and helmet this Christmas thanks to the local nonprofit The Spokes Group. The first year, they donated 17 bikes. Now this Christmas in addition to the 2,000 bikes and helmets The Spokes Group gave the Salvation Army’s Christmas program, they are also handing out 800 bikes and helmets in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area and another 250 in Charleston
“Our mission is simply to put underprivileged kids on bikes with the idea that every child, regardless of background or upbringing, should experience that freedom and independence that goes with riding their first bicycle,” Will Beard says.

Homeless Encampment Receives Christmas Trees

The owners of the King Of Christmas company decided to donate this year’s overstock to local people who might not have a Christmas tree. They have a Christmas tree distribution warehouse in Houston, and after Hurricane Harvey this past year they wanted to give back to the community. See how people reacted to the decorations.
