Man with Autism Offers Sensory Friendly Santa Visits for Kids

Kerry Magro is a 29 year-old who has autism. He remembers not being able to enjoy visiting Santa at the mall when he was growing up because of all the lights and loud noise from the crowds and music. Now he is playing Santa and offering sensory friendly visits in order to make this holiday tradition more inclusive. He started this three years ago and has helped this holiday be that much more joyful and memorable for every child with special needs.

But now “Giving Tuesday”, a day to raise funds for charitable causes, has been recognized globally. The new trend is showing what the holidays are really all about and has raised hundreds of millions of dollars in the last couple years for charitable causes.

Secret Santa Pays for Over $10,000 Worth of Toys

Charlie K. decided that on Black Friday he would give to random strangers at a Toys R Us store in New Jersey. He paid for 62 orders that customers had put on layaway, totaling over $10,000. In addition, he also purchased $2,000 worth of toys for the Toys for Tots charity. Watch the video interview to see why he decided to give so much this holiday season.

Woman Raises Funds to Throw Christmas Party for 125 Kids

A Florida woman is throwing a Christmas party for 125 kids this holiday. Carolynn Smith has been working in her community with various non-profit organizations for years. She want kids to know what Christmas is all about by giving them each a gift and celebrating a holiday that many of these kids would not be able to otherwise.
