Incredible Mom Helping Chicago Kids Recover From Trauma

Jennifer Maddox is a single mother and a police officer in Chicago. She saw all the violence in the southside and wanted to help children cope with all the trauma they experience. She started Future Ties, an after-school program that offers hot meals, tutoring, conflict resolution, and many different activities for children. Watch this video of her being highlighted on the Today Show.

Kids Raise Money with Bake Sale for Social Justice

A group of about a dozen 11 and 12 year-olds have a Bake Sale For Justice, giving donations to organizations like “Refugee One, the American Civil Liberties Union, the Environmental Defense Fund, the Union of Concerned Scientists and the Native American Rights Fund.” They have raised thousands of dollars so far and donate to a different cause every month. Photographer Turns Infinity War Into Campaign Against Bullying

Photographer Josh Rossi and his wife Roxana were inspired by the Infinity War movie and brought bullying victims together for an empowering photo shoot. Fifteen kids were selected and dressed up as various Avengers characters representing how, if they all unite, they can stop bullying for good.
