On September 30th in downtown San Francisco, hundreds of young professionals from around the Bay Area came together, formed small teams of 5-10 individuals, and collaborated to plan DIY “doing good projects” centering around the needs they see in their communities in combination with their particular skills and interests. From this dynamic time, over 25 groups submitted their proposals and plans to Project Doing Good – from providing food to the homeless to fundraising for disaster relief, from adopting a grandparent in an elderly home to holiday coat drives.

All groups were tasked with planning a project that they could achieve across the month of October with measurable goals and impact. While these efforts are underway in October, groups will be sending pictures to us at PDG chronicling their projects. The first week of November we will be picking one project from the west bay and one from the east bay to highlight and award with multiple forms of coverage on our site.

Stay tuned as we release pictures and details on these efforts across October!
